If you do not wish to use the Apple's iTunes Store, you must manually subscribe to the podcast using the 'Advanced' file menu option (top menu on your iTunes player).

Using your right mouse button, click on either of the "RSS Feed" buttons above and choose 'copy shortcut' (hyperlink)
   • On your iTunes player, click the 'Advanced' file menu option, then choose 'Subscribe to podcast'
   • Paste the shortcut (hyperlink) you just copied into the text box, and then click 'OK'.
