Congregation Health Ministry

First Baptist Church has developed a ministry to promote health and wellness by integrating the physical, mental and spiritual needs of our congregation and surrounding community. Partnership with Inova Health Systems Congregational Health Program provides us with health information resources, help in planning activities and access to wellness programs.

The Health Ministry Team assesses the health needs of the congregation by means of a survey. The information is used to tailor health promotion programs to the needs of the congregation and community. Possible programs include health fairs and screening, flu shot clinics, health education classes, support groups and bloodmobiles.

Hammond Coates

Mark 8:27-38

How do we follow Jesus today?  Is our age so different that we can't really relate to Him?  Following Jesus has always been difficult if we do it as He calls us to do it.
