Angela came to First Baptist Church of Springfield as Ministry Assistant-Communications in July of 2008. She and her husband, Bryan, are recent “transplants” from their lifelong hometown of Marion, S.C. Marion is referred to as the “prettiest little town on the way to Myrtle Beach.” Bryan works with the U.S. Department of Agriculture in Washington. They have two children, Eric and Stephanie. Eric is employed with the S.C. Department of Health and Environmental Control. Stephanie recently graduated from the University of South Carolina with a BS in Exercise Science.

Angela has a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Oral Roberts University. She worked with the State of South Carolina for 23 years, serving in such roles as foster care worker, health educator and a health department coordinator for the WIC program. With a passion for children and teens, Angela has also taught Children’s Church and Sunday School and served as Youth Pastor in her home church for many years. In 2006, Angela graduated with a Masters degree from Grace Theological Seminary. The Seminary training was a rich opportunity to enhance her knowledge of God’s Word, Bible history and practical ministry.
